Base Camp (6 Weeks - Pre-Kindergarten)
Where the Adventure Begins
At Base Camp, we provide a safe, loving place for children from six weeks through Pre-K
where we believe even our littlest ones can learn! Regular learning
experiences are planned and lessons are reinforced with songs, play and
supervised activities designed with the ability of the children in mind.
Our toddlers through preschoolers use exciting, age-appropriate
curriculum created by Gospel Light to help them discover who God is, His
love for them and how to love God with all their hearts.
Base Camp Tips...
- What to Bring for Infant and Toddlers
Pack a small bag with a few
diapers, pacifier or other special soothing items, and a change of
clothes in case your child would require that. Please label all
personal items with your child’s first and last name before arriving to
your child’s class.
- What to Bring for Preschoolers (2-5 Years)
There is no need to bring a diaper bag to the classroom. We have diapers, pull-ups and a change of clothing if necessary.
- Nursing Mother’s Room
A private nursing room is located in the Roly Polys room for those mothers wishing to nurse their little ones.
-
Family Room
Families are encouraged to worship together. However, some younger
children have a harder time sitting quietly through the service. Our
Family Room, located next to the East Worship Center, is there for you
to enjoy the service with your child. It offers a comfortable way to
watch the service via video monitors.
- Checking on Your Child
After checking your child in and saying good-bye it is normal for
little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This does not last long, and
separation becomes easier over time. Our loving staff will immediately
try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you
will return after the worship service or your adult class. If your child
cries for an extended period of time (10 minutes), we will page you.
Feel free to check on your little one at any time during the service.
Most of our Early Childhood classrooms have one-way mirrors to let you
watch your child, while keeping them from seeing you.
