Children's Pastor
How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ
I grew up in a Christian home and was blessed to have parents whose relationship with Christ was evident in their lives. At the age of eight, God used a guest speaker at our church to help me recognize the sin in my life and the great gift of love He provided through Jesus who died on the cross for my sins. After high school, I attended Moody Bible Institute, where God deepened my love for Him and prepared me to serve in ministry. Throughout my life, God has made Himself known to me as I have seen Him at work in my life. Both through good times and in difficult circumstances, I have learned that I can trust in Him.
How I came to Wheaton Bible Church
While I was working as a Children’s Ministry Pastor in the area, I met a friend for lunch to talk about ministry. After hearing about all that God was doing here at WBC and learning about an opportunity to be on staff in Children’s Ministry, I applied for the position. In the process of becoming staff members, my wife and I were so impressed by the God honoring and humble leadership that we felt and continue to feel it a real blessing to be here at WBC.
What I do at Wheaton Bible Church
As the Pastor of
Children’s Ministries
I strive to do two things; First, to provide tools and resources for parents to disciple their children so that discipleship of the next generation is happening both in the home and at church, and second, to provide oversight to all in areas where we minister to children ages birth through 6
th
grade.
Why I do what I do
I believe that the job of the church is to equip the followers of Christ to build up the Kingdom of God. I see children as a key and critical part of this plan as they grow in their faith today and become the leaders of the church of tomorrow.
