How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ
I grew up in a church-going family who attending semi-regularly but did not practice our faith through the week. After the death of my father when I was 10, my mother rededicated her life to Christ and started attending church faithfully. I went along. A friend in school invited me to youth group and Christian concerts. It was at one of the concerts that I asked into my life. I had made Him my Savior but not my Lord (still doing my own thing). My faith waned my last two years in high school and the beginning of my college years. After a series of bad choices and regrets, I made the decision to allow Jesus to be the Lord of my life. I stopped leading my life and followed Him. I rededicated my life to Jesus as my Lord and Savior. It was then that He led me into ministry.
How I came to Wheaton Bible Church
I started attending Wheaton Bible Church while dating Michael Swider, who is now my husband.
What I do at Wheaton Bible Church
I plan and implement all the Children’s Ministry Family Fun Events. I also help in any other area I can within Children's Ministry, especially Neighborhood Bible Clubs and Awana.
Why I do what I do
I love Jesus and desire for others to know Him as well. I want children, especially, to know that Jesus is loving, kind and tons of fun!
