How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ
I grew up in a Christian home attending church with my family, but it wasn’t until later in my 20s that I understood the Gospel personally, that Jesus died for me, for my sins. How amazing to realize the truth “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8.
How I came to Wheaton Bible Church
It started when we brought our children to WBC Preschool, then I started attending PFY Bible Study, and my husband, Dean, started attending Huddle – these were all remarkable experiences. Then we attended our first Sunday morning services and were blown away by the Biblical teaching. After much prayer, we knew we had to make the switch, and have been here ever since.
What I do at Wheaton Bible Church
I handle Human Resources issues for WBC staff, and I oversee the Child Protection process.
Why I do what I do
I am blessed to serve on a staff with godly men and women. I have a background in HR, so it seemed like a natural fit to move into this position. Coming from corporate America, I still remember pausing when I saw meetings in our conference room where heads were bowed and people were praying. That was a new and encouraging sight for me!
