How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ
I was fortunate to grow up in a home where my parents loved Jesus and were committed to the local church. At the age of 9, I became a follower of Christ and was baptized. I was in a worship service, in an open air tabernacle, at a church camp for boys. When the camp pastor gave an invitation to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I felt compelled to respond. Even so, I held on for dear life. As the music continued to play, a thunderstorm popped up and it began to rain. God used that storm to convince me of His power and presence. I walked to my leader and prayed to receive Christ. I have been involved in church all of my life and took my first church staff position when I was 18.
How I came to Wheaton Bible Church
After 15 years of youth ministry both in the local church and traveling as a worship leader, God led me to Wheaton Bible Church. I served on staff at an arts camp with a couple from Wheaton Bible. They happened to be on the Worship pastor search committee and the rest, so to speak, is history.
What I do at Wheaton Bible Church
My main role is to lead worship for our contemporary services. I also give oversight to our music, drama, and technical production ministries.
Why I do what I do
While I love music and am humbled by the gifts God has given me, I love Him more. Nothing fills me more than worshipping God through music and leading people to do the same.
