How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ
My relationship with Jesus Christ started during a worship rehearsal. Our worship pastor invited us to pray out loud to God, giving Him glory. I am not an outspoken person and at the time it was really difficult for me to express myself. After hearing other people from the worship team praise God, I realized that I was making this prayer time about me. I realized that I was not entirely giving my life and trust to God. With that realization, God gave me the ability to praise him freely. I held nothing back. God is real to me and every day I want to remember that I am living to give glory to Him.
How I came to Wheaton Bible Church
My family is originally from Illinois but we moved to New York for two years for a job opportunity. However, God had plans to bring my family and me back to Chicago. My mom knew Pastor Juan Marcos and his wife Becky Gomez for a very long time and they welcomed us to the church. The moment I stepped in to the Sunday service, God had put in our hearts that WBC was the place for us. We’ve been attending the church since August of 2009.
What I do at Wheaton Bible Church
I blessed to be part of the Sunday service worship team. I’m also really grateful to serve as the Administrative Assistant for Iglesia del Pueblo.
Why I do what I do
God has called me to serve others. What better place to do that, than in the house of God!
