What is Awana?
Awana is a nondenominational ministry that assists churches in reaching boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. During Awana, children kindergarten through sixth grade gather to play games, learn Bible verses, and hear a lesson from God's Word.
What does the name "Awana" mean?

The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of
Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.

Awana Clubs at WBC
Sparks (Kindergarten - 2nd Grade)
Sparks club meetings combine learning with fun to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement for churched and unchurched kids alike. The aim of the curriculum is to take youngsters a step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ.
Truth & Training (3rd - 6th Grade)
The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow ... today.
For Awana Volunteers: Little Stars & Mini Stars (Nursery - 5 years)
Bible stories, games, songs, crafts, and snacks transform our nursery and preschool program into an exciting experience where the children of our Awana Volunteers learn about how much God loves them.
