Being known for sending missionaries for 75 years is as much a distinctive of Wheaton Bible Church as being a strong Bible teaching church. Even our relocation plans reflect our values of being a missionary church.
Winning people to Jesus Christ is in our DNA. We are focused on people around the world, in the Chicago suburbs, and among the under-resourced population of DuPage County who haven’t yet heard the good news that Jesus died for them. This calling is at our core. These are the “people groups” Jesus spoke of in Acts 1:8, when He told us to be His witnesses from where we live, then in concentric circles geographically finally reaching “to the ends of the earth.”
Global Outreach & Local Impact Ministry Staff Global Outreach and Local Impact is staffed by four individuals who have been given a passion and the experience by God to move us on in our commission to reach out as a church, locally and globally. We have a broad missionary family who we would like you to become familiar with as their stories inspire and encourage us. WBC supports 92 missionary families with a quarter of our church budget. Our missionary family works with 40 different agencies around the world in 45 different countries. Local Impact Emphasis Our newest emphasis is becoming more intentional in serving our local ministry partners in DuPage County. As we build bridges to our neighbors in need, we will mobilize a greater number of volunteers who will recognize the impact we can have in our own backyard.
