This MissionsFest focused on people groups who had not been told the good news of the gospel. President of Wycliffe, Bob Creson, started off the week with a message on Sunday morning which was followed by an all church event on Monday evening entitled "Untold Stories".

Global MissionsFest 2007 Project - Bibles, Bees, and a Boat
Our 2007 MissionsFest project is to help Wycliffe Bible Translators get the written word of God into the Krachi language, by raising $35,000 to supply their translation project with a boat and bees. The Krachi people of Ghana are scattered among 32 villages on Ghana’s Lake Volta and live in darkness as only two percent are committed Christians.
How can a boat and bees be used to help carry out Jesus’ Great Commission? Since Krachi villages are separated by the 11 mile wide Lake Volta, translation workers need a reliable boat to carry them and their equipment across the often turbulent water. The translation team also needs bees to be financially self-sustaining as it is comprised of local people who are turning to beekeeping as their source of income. Please help us get Bibles into the Krachi language and into the hands of the Krachi people.

Saturday's Missions On Your Doorstep conference was a time for sharing vision, skills, and knowledge related to cross-cultural outreach in the local context. We introduced strategies for beginning cross-cultural relationships with people both foreign-born and U.S.-born as well as for equipping local leaders to work together in expanded ways. Missions On Your Doorstep complimented Local MissionsFest Sunday and was co-sponsored by World Relief.
We heard from Eric Swanson (Leadership Community Director for Externally Focused Churches in the Leadership Network and co-author of The Externally Focused Church, Living a Life on Loan, and numerous articles) and other exciting speakers in various workshops. We also hosted display booths from our local partners and experienced a refugee simulation.
“Historical Christianity impacted Europe centuries before world history gives any record of the Americas. Now, in the 21st century, faithful Christians from the West have fresh opportunity to reintroduce Christianity to a continent which, though still rich with religious artifacts, knows precious little of the Good News of One who came ‘that they might have life, and have it more abundantly.’” -A reviewer of evangelical work in Europe This past October, we focused our attention on reaching our brothers and sisters right “across the pond” in the countries of Europe. Europe is a post-modern and secularized continent, and 16 of our WBC missionaries have been called by God to live and serve Him there, giving their lives to winning people for Christ and discipling and teaching believers. WBC gave financially to the church-planting efforts of two of our missionary families in Europe.
