Saturday Conference:

“And Who is My Neighbor?”

Plenary Session - What Is Love? Redefining how we love our neighbor. Dr. Soong-Chan Rah

1: Necessary Cultural Intelligence for a Multicultural Church

In our rapidly changing world, it's essential for churches to also begin to reflect our neighborhoods' diversity. But this effort requires more than adding a new skill set. It requires us to develop a new paradigm of family and become one of welcome, warmth and hospitality as we bridge across racial and cultural divides to become the household of faith God intends.

Dr. Soong-Chan Rah-Associate Professor of Church Growth and Evangelism of North Park Theological

2: Exegeting Your Community

This current era has seen the largest number of immigrants ever to enter this country. Because of this, projections using U.S. Census Bureau data indicates that DuPage County (for example) may have no majority population group by 2020.  This session will provide training in how neighborhood demographic and ethnographic data can be collected online…and then suggestions in how this might be translated in ministry.

In addition, we are anxious to share our inner joy and peace with our neighbour, motivated by the second greatest commandment.
