Church is an important part of family life, so we encourage you to take a two-step approach to Sunday mornings.

Step 1: Worship Together

During one of our services, worship as a family by sitting together and experiencing God's Word. This is the most important hour on Sunday mornings for your family and it provides you with opportunities for spiritual discussions during the week. Find service times, locations and descriptions here.

Step 2: Grow in Faith

Have your kids attend one of our exciting Sunday School programs developed just for them. In these creative settings, children will explore what it means to love God, grow in their faith and start putting their hearts and hands into reaching the world. While your child is in Sunday School, we encourage you to use your gifts to serve or connect in an Adult Community.

Sunday School Adventures

Sundays, 8:15 am, 9:45 am and 11:15 am

View the Sunday morning classroom schedule here .

Your children will enjoy age-appropriate adventures when they attend Sunday School.

Base Camp: Where the Adventure Begins

At Base Camp, we provide a safe, loving place for children from six weeks through Pre-K. Here little ones continue discovering who God is, how much He loves them and how to love God through play and song.

Adventurers: Explore a Relationship with God

Whether in a rain forest or on a coral reef, children in K through 4th grade explore what it means to know God, love God and live for Him each day. Adventurers participate in a large group to hear the Bible lesson and then move to small groups led by dedicated volunteers who help personalize the lesson through games, crafts and prayer.

Quest56: Where Faith Takes Flight

For children in 5th and 6th grade, we build on lessons learned in K through 4th grade to continue the quest of living their lives according to God's plan. Times together include in-depth Bible lessons and fun activities, help build relationships with others and offer church- and community-based service opportunities.

Keep it Safe on Sunday Mornings

To help make the adventure safe and fun for everyone, remember . . .

Checking In and Out

Only parents, guardians or adult family members (those 18 years of age or older) can sign a child into his or her classroom. You and your child receive tags with a corresponding number on them. This number is very important. If an Expedition Ministries staff member needs to contact you during the service, your tag number will appear on the screens at the front of the worship center or a staff member will contact your Adult Community.

When you pick up your child, you or a family member in high school or older must sign out him or her and show a classroom leader that your tag matches your child's tag.

Safe and Secure

Our goal is to provide a safe and secure environment for every child. That's why all entrances are locked
from the outside and we carefully screen volunteers before they step into the classroom. In partnership with the Carol Stream Fire Department, we have also developed a well-mapped-out emergency exit plan and train all of our volunteers on how to get the kids out of the building quickly.

Healthy Kids Policy

At the first signs of illness (fever in the last 24 hours, a questionable rash, nasal discharge, diarrhea or conjunctivitis), please keep your child at home. Your child will be more comfortable there and this will also prevent other children from becoming sick.
