Do you know a child who...

Sometimes feels bad that he/she lives in a single family home?

Feels out of place when he/she see a family with a mom and dad?

Is still unable to talk about the loss of a family member or the feelings about a recent family change?

We all need to talk

Once a week we offer children the opportunity to come together to discuss various topics such as building trust, dealing with anger, sad feelings, and other situations related to changes that have taken place in the family.

Who can come?

Any child kindergarten-eighth grade, accompanied by a parent, is welcome. While the children of Treasured Promises meet in small groups, their parents gather together in adult sessions. Both DivorceCare and a support group for adults experiencing grief are offered for the parents. Nursery care is provided for younger siblings.

Where does it meet?

In various rooms at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave. West Chicago, IL 60185.

When does it meet?

Monday evenings, 6:00-8:00 pm, dinner is provided. Sessions are held in the fall and the winter. You may start the two-session program in either September or January. Nursery care is provided for younger siblings.

Cost?

There is no charge for children in Treasured Promises or adults in grief care. There is a $15.00 charge for the workbooks used in DivorceCare. We welcome you and desire to assist your family in the healing process.
