Lance and Julie Clemens (Greater Europe Mission, Bulgaria): Education 

 

Lance and Julie are serving in Bulgaria with Greater Europe Mission.  They work with a team of missionaries in one of the least churched areas of Bulgaria.  Lance has teaching responsibilities with the United Theological Faculty of the Bulgarian Evangelical Theological Institute and Julie will be using her professional background in occupational therapy to work with ministries in town.  

 

Praise

• Julierecently met with the staff of a center for people with disabilities; she was able to teach the staff members more about serving their patients better, hand out teaching pamphlets translated into Bulgarian and demonstrate new techniques

• That through a recent financial gift Lance and Julie received, they are going to be able to purchase supplies for the center to help the staff continue to serve their patients

   

Pray 

• For Ramona, who runs the children’s ministry, children’s Sunday School and women’s ministry at their church; pray for additional workers to support the church in many ministries

• For Julie as he is currently working with some families with children who have Down syndrome; the typical Bulgarian response is to put these children into orphanages, but Julie is trying to teach Bulgarian mothers and encourage them in raising kids with special needs.

• For Lance and Julie as they raise their two girls, Taylor (14) and Lauren (9)
