Located 30 miles west of Chicago, Wheaton Bible Church is a non-denominational church of 4,000 people gathering in English and Spanish speaking congregations.
For over 85 years, our church has responded to the call to love God, grow together, and reach the world. We have followed Jesus, and the stories that God has written in and through our church are remarkable. We are a Gospel-driven, mission-focused church with a large local and global presence. Our commitment to the Gospel, to the Word of God, and to discipleship has been the foundation of our church and continues to shape our vision.
Today we believe God has given us a holy restlessness to follow Jesus more fully, and a renewed sense of urgency to embrace the Great Commission, to love our neighbors, share our personal faith stories, and to tell the Gospel story. Our vision is simply to be compelled by His love—to be the Church and to make disciples who themselves will make disciples, both here and around the world.
Wheaton Bible Church is seeking to hire a Pastor/Director of Small Groups. The purpose of this position is to lead, develop, and grow Wheaton Bible Church's Small Group ministry and to shepherd leaders by encouraging and equipping them to become multiplying disciples who multiply groups.
This role is a vital contributor to WBC's effectiveness in fulfilling our mission to make disciples who love God, grow together and reach the world. Through vision, strategic leadership, leader training, teaching, and pastoral ministry, this leader plays a critical role in guiding and equipping adults at WBC to pursue our mission and to embrace our vision to launch a disciple-making movement both here and around the world through our small and mid-sized (Adult Community) groups.
Working with the Pastor of Adult Discipleship and Community Life, this individual will help provide the vision and leadership to build a culture that reflects the values and call of the Great Commission. S/he will work with an energized and inspired team of lay leaders and pastors to create community by connecting people into engaging and transformational groups that are multiplying disciples in our church, our community, and the world.
