ECFA is a Wheaton faith-based non-profit organization that provides services to local children, families, and individuals through adoption services, private foster care (Safe Families), pregnancy-services, helping keep families intact, and more. They represent a devoted and tireless staff of people and have many ongoing needs.
Office Cleaning - Currently the staff takes turns cleaning the office in Wheaton. They could use help once a week (2 hours for a group of 4-6 people) to clean the common areas including bathrooms and kitchen area. All supplies are provided. Groups can come during business hours (8:30 to 5) or if needed can come at night or on Saturday. Groups can sign up for 1 week or several. For more information, contact Jennie Tietjen at ECFA at630.653.6400 x214.
Volunteer Receptionist in Evening Hours - ECFA needs a volunteer each evening Monday-Thursday 4:50-7:30 to greet people as they come into the facility and direct them into meetings. Feel free to bring a book to read or knitting, etc. to enjoy some quiet time while you provide a friendly face to those coming in. Volunteers let ECFA know their availability and a schedule is made once per month (even once a month helps!). For more information, contact Jennie Tietjen at ECFA at 630.653.6400 x214
Answer phones from your own cell phone - Since ECFA works with local children and family needs, ECFAʼs phone lines are open24 hours per day. They need someone to answer calls during “off” hours. This can easily be done from your own phone and training is provided. Many times you will not receive calls at all but ECFA needs someone to be available to direct off-hours calls. The schedule might be one weekend per month or one night per month. For more information, contact Jennie Tietjen at ECFA at 630.653.6400 x214.
