We don’t just gather for worship; we’re being formed by it.

As more and more people join our church family, we believe this is the perfect time to explore the why behind what we do every Sunday. Our new sermon series, “Liturgies: Why We Do What We Do,” is all about helping us understand that each part of our service—call to worship, confession, prayers, songs, creeds— is not just tradition. Rather each service element is intentional, biblical, and formative.

Each week, we’ll answer three questions:

  1. Why this specific element?

  2. Why do we need it?

  3. How does this element point us to the Gospel?

We believe liturgy isn’t empty ritual. It’s deeply formative in shaping our heart, affection, and mind for God’s glory, our good, and the good of others.

BONUS: A Mid-week Video Series!

Alongside the sermons, we’re also releasing a weekly video series. Every Thursday this video will feature Pastor Hanibal in conversation with various pastors and leaders, as they go deeper into each element of our liturgy.

📺 You can find the videos on our YouTube Channel and in our Thursday newsletter, 27W.

We hope this series helps you worship with greater understanding, unity, and joy.
