What to Expect

Walking through the doors of an unfamiliar church can be intimidating. Where do I go next? How do I drop off my kids? Where are the bathrooms? Am I wearing the right clothes? Where do I go to learn more about the church? The list of questions goes on….stop for a moment, take a deep breath, we are here to help.

Our goal as a church is to make this potentially large and intimidating church feel small. We want you to be a part of our community. We want you to connect. And sometimes you might need a little help to get there.

The information below is meant to be a snapshot of what you can expect when you visit our church on a Sunday. Hopefully then when you arrive, you can breathe a little easier as you enter into worship!

Where do I go?

WBC is located conveniently off of North Ave (64) and Morton Rd. We have entrances on either road! We have convenient parking designated JUST for our newer guests located in the lots closest to the front doors.

As you exit your car and approach our front doors, you will notice the beautiful prayer tower standing 144 feet tall from the ground to the cross that tops it (please visit and spend some time in prayer).

When you enter the front door you will notice our Welcome Desk by the large hanging circular sign (See picture below).  Stop in and say hello!  We have a team of people waiting to greet you and help you with your worship experience.

What do I wear?

WBC has both a contemporary and traditional worship expression.  The contemporary service is band lead and tends to be a bit more casual than the traditional service which is orchestra lead.  We encourage you to come as you are both physically in attire and spiritually.

What About My Kids?

We love our families and believe kids and students are an important part of our church family.

On your first visit, our check-in team will greet you and explain our check-in system and procedures and assist in placing your child in the appropriate age class. Our computerized check-in and paging system increases security and provides quick access to our families. Please allow a few extra minutes on your first visit.

Kids ages 6 weeks to 4th grade are invited to our Sunday morning Kids’ Life program during the 8:45 am, 10:30 am and 12:15 pm (Español) services. They can be checked in on the Main Level. See the Welcome Desk in the Atrium for directions.

Students grades 5-8 can head down to the Warehouse on the Lower Level for a time of experiencing God through worship, teaching from the Bible, and spending time in small groups. Students meet during the 10:30 am and 12:15 pm (Español) services.

Kids are welcome and encouraged to attend our worship services. For little ones who might need a break, families can watch the service from our family room or one of the seating areas outside the worship center.

Safety is a number one priority when your child is in our care so that you can enjoy the service without worry. Each member of our serving team goes through background screening, reference checks, and training. We only check out kids with matching unique security stickers given to you during check-in.

We can’t wait to meet you and your family!
