Pre-Marriage Mentoring
Marriage is one of the most significant decisions you will ever make—second only to choosing Jesus Christ as your Savior. We believe marriage is a holy covenant designed by God to reflect His love and the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:23–25). Your wedding day is important, but preparing for a lifelong, Gospel-centered marriage is even more vital.
At Wheaton Bible Church, we are committed to discipling couples before and after marriage. Whether you are engaged or seriously dating, we invite you to take intentional steps toward building a strong foundation for your future together.
Pre-Marriage Mentoring
Pre-Marriage Mentoring is required for all couples getting married at Wheaton Bible Church or by a WBC pastor. We encourage couples to begin mentoring 4–6 months before their wedding date.
This process includes:
- SYMBIS Assessment – A personalized tool to identify strengths and growth areas. Assessment must be taken prior to the workshop.
- One-Day Workshop – Learn biblical principles for marriage and connect with mentor couples.
- Mentor Sessions – 5–7 meetings with a mentor couple to review your assessment and grow together.
- Pastoral Meetings – 2–3 sessions with the pastor officiating your wedding.
This is more than a checklist—it’s an investment in your lifelong journey together.
