    Located 30 miles west of Chicago, Wheaton Bible Church is a non-denominational church of 4,000 people gathering in English and Spanish speaking congregations.

    Women's Ministry Administrative Assistant

    Part-time: 32 Hours/Week (39 weeks; mid-August—mid-May) and 20 hours/week (13 weeks; summer).

    Wheaton Bible Church is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Director of Discipleship, Women and Care and the Bible Study Staff Coordinator, and support to the Women’s Ministry Volunteer Coordinators.


    1. General Administrative Support
      • Phone and email correspondence, and scheduling meetings.
      • Logistical support for volunteer leaders, Shepherds, and other meetings (scheduling, room set up, hospitality, etc.)
      • Prepare weekly reimbursement requests and make weekly deposits for WM (dinner, childcare, etc.)
      • Order and organize equipment, materials and supplies as needed.
      • Maintain women’s ministry filing and organization of assigned storage spaces.
      • Generate reports from database for staff and coordinators as needed (attendance tracking, etc.)
      • Coordinate women’s ministry volunteers in the staff office.
    2. Administrative support for women’s Bible studies (Place 4 You, Precepts, Senior Women, involving 500+ Women)
      • Weekly and on-site support for morning and evening P4Y leadership meetings.
      • Upload weekly podcasts for P4Y teaching and other teachings as needed.
      • Provide additional support for women’s bible studies during kickoff seasons.
        1. Registration process: input and create group lists, attendance event setup, nametags, etc.
        2. Make room reservations, copy and prepare manuals and handouts, etc.
    3. Special event support (A Night Before Christmas, Retreat, A Morning With Him, Mom’s Together, etc.)
      • Set up and manage large online event registration processes.
      • Serve as liaison between volunteers and operations staff.
    4. Communication
      • Maintain communication with Women’s Volunteer Coordinators.
      • Serve as liaison for communication requests for WM staff and Volunteer Coordinators (write requests, follow up throughout process, etc.)
      • Maintain and update webpage to keep information current for women’s ministry.
    5. Performs other duties as assigned.

    After-School Elementary Teacher

    Wheaton Bible Church is seeking a part-time Elementary Teacher for the after-school program of Puente del Pueblo. Puente del Pueblo is an outreach of WBC and Iglesia del Pueblo in partnership with Outreach Community Ministries and is located on-site at apartment complexes in West Chicago. Puente services include case management, adult literacy, ESL tutoring, after school programs for elementary and junior high students and community events. This person hired for this position will serve the residents of Timber Lake Apartments at Wegner Elementary School.

    This position is responsible for building relationships with 15-20 students, and for academic tutoring, life skills instruction, and teaching Christian education. The elementary teacher will facilitate group work with students involving experiential learning, as well as plan and implement community service activities, communicate with parents, and coach volunteers. The teacher is also responsible for maintaining Puente’s standard of classroom behavior during program time.

    Qualified candidates will have a passion for working with elementary-age students, possess a bachelor’s degree in education, youth ministry or a related field, have previous classroom teaching experience, and have sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families and culturally diverse backgrounds. Bilingual in English and Spanish or Arabic is preferred.

    This academic year position is part-time at 20 hours per week, M-F 1:30-5:30 pm. The program runs from 2:45pm to 5:30pm M-F; additional scheduled time from 1:30-2:45 is for prep and meetings.     Pastor/Director of Small Groups

    Wheaton Bible Church is seeking to hire a Pastor/Director of Small Groups. The purpose of this position is to lead, develop, and grow Wheaton Bible Church's Small Group ministry and to shepherd leaders by encouraging and equipping them to become multiplying disciples who multiply groups.

    This role is a vital contributor to WBC's effectiveness in fulfilling our mission to make disciples who love God, grow together and reach the world. Through vision, strategic leadership, leader training, teaching, and pastoral ministry, this leader plays a critical role in guiding and equipping adults at WBC to pursue our mission and to embrace our vision to launch a disciple-making movement both here and around the world through our small and mid-sized (Adult Community) groups.

    Working with the Pastor of Adult Discipleship and Community Life, this individual will help provide the vision and leadership to build a culture that reflects the values and call of the Great Commission. S/he will work with an energized and inspired team of lay leaders and pastors to create community by connecting people into engaging and transformational groups that are multiplying disciples in our church, our community, and the world.


    1. Small Group Ministry Director – (75%)
      • Manage contact and communication with our existing 85 small groups (currently involving 1000+ people) and to grow this ministry in the next 12 months.
      • Recruit Leaders. Manage new leader process, including recruiting, interviewing, equipping, and identifying, and developing apprentices.
      • Shepherd Leaders
        • Equip and develop SG Coordinators and SG Leaders around our mission and disciple-making values.
        • Monitor the health, effectiveness, and duration of groups.
        • Pastor and serve SG coordinators, leaders and group members.
        • Coordinate retreats, leader trainings, off-site meetings, and other events.
      • Oversee Multiplication. Track group progress through the “Seasons of a Group,” ensuring each group identifies and trains an apprentice, and ensuring timely multiplication of new groups.
      • Administration. Oversee the updating and accuracy of group data, and serve as the contact for all group leaders and all outside requests.
      • Training Events. Participate in leading and serving at SG leader trainings, and participate in the development of SG leadership tools as needed.
    2. Adult Community (mid-sized groups) Coordinator – (25%)
      • Assist with overseeing and communicating with our 18 existing mid-sized Adult Communities, currently involving 1,500+ people.
      • Assist with planning and implementing AC projects and strategic improvements of our AC ministry model.
      • Sustain a model for AC leadership team structure and best-practices.
      • Assist with developing an on-ramp for people looking to connect into ACs.
      • Assist with monitoring the appropriate weekly, quarterly, semester, and annual metrics for our ACs.
      • Assist with annual AC events: Leader training, Mission Weeks, Leader Celebration, Summer Sundays, and the review process.
      • Teach in ACs as needed.
