Church family,
As we get closer to voting day, we invite you to pray, seek wisdom, and let the Holy Spirit guide your decision.
We take voting seriously because voting is not just about a candidate, a political party, or even the church. We take voting seriously because voting affects laws, and laws affect people. We take voting seriously because we desire that the values of the Kingdom of God make a difference, even amid brokenness and imperfection. We vote because our opinions and convictions matter. And we vote because we are called to be agents of transformation in word and deed.
But the question is, how do we vote?
That is an important question! This question is not easy to answer because we live in a broken world, we are voting for broken people, and no political party can truly and fully reflect the values of the Kingdom of God.
To help you through the discernment process, we want to recommend some resources, including a 31-day prayer guide.
Read, pray, think, pray some more, and let the Holy Spirit guide you.
In all of this—don’t forget that our King is always in control and always accomplishes His purposes!

"Before You Vote" by David Platt
Download this free prayer guide and ebook from David Platt. In Before You Vote, David Platt urges every Christian to ask seven critical questions before casting a ballot. These questions are based on biblical truths, not political talking points. As a pastor of a church in the United States capital, Platt’s message is non-partisan, practically helpful, and biblically saturated.
